I am looking into having Iris Cerclage surgery for an eye injury. I suffered an eye injury several years ago, which has left me with a damaged pupil muscle in my right eye. The eye itself is fine I just have an enlarged pupil. It does react slightly to light, but is still much bigger than my left eye. I have tried the poli drops which work, but cause me headaces and blured vision. This procedure would reduce my pupil size to a constant size of 3.5 mm, which would reduce glare from light and also help my cosmetic issues I have with the eye. Could someone who has had it done or performed it fill me in on how complex this surgery is? Any risks with it? Recovery time? Will my Insurance cover it? I have read this can be a risky complicated procedure and just want some opinions on it. Thanks
