Irritation, burning, swelling in eyes

I had a LASIK surgery 11 years before. I got HSV 1 and HSV 2 positive (I think that also for the past 10 years). From that period onwards, now and then I am feeling a severe burning sensation in my eyes. At that time I won't be able to keep my eyes open. Sometimes one of the eyes or both will become red. Sometimes the eyelids will become swollen and itchy. If I work in my system for a long time my eyes will get tired sooner. When I open my eyes immediately after getting up from sleep i'll feel like the outer layer in my eyes were pulled along with my eyelids and eyes will start watering. This will last for few seconds and then only it will be ok.

I donno whether I have HSV I in my eyes. I want to know among these indications which are all related to HSV I ? If I have it what are the possible ways of infecting others? If I have a swelling in eye lids or eye irritation or itching and at the same time if somebody is kissing on my eyes, will they get infected? Will every optholmologist are aware of HSV I in eyes? Are there any medication specifically for HSV I in eyes? I am planning to take suppressive theraphy for HSV I and HSV II (Acyclovir for 3 times a day - 7 days a month - for 6 months). Will that suffice for this also?

If a doctor has prescribed acyclovir then evidently someone who has actually examined you feels that your episodes of itchy, swollen eye lids and red eyes are due to herpes reactivation.  Herpes type II is genital herpes and I would be started to hear that you have ocular involvement.  You should clear this up with your eye doctor.  Repeated episodes of herpes in and around the eye are often treated with long-term suppression using acyclovir or another anti-viral medication.
