Several months ago my right eye started to irritate me after sleeping. I had the eye scanned by the local optometrist but he found nothing wrong. Last week I started getting dizzy spells when I'd bend down, roll over in bed or just go up the stairs. Could I have a tumor leaning on my eye that's causing the imbalance? What kind of doctor should I consult?
The dizzyspells are most likely not eye related so based on your symptoms you should start with an exam by an internist or general practice medical doctor. You imbalance is not likely related to any eye problems.
