Is "boot-camp" type exercise safe?

Is "boot-camp" type exercise safe?

My daughter started an intense exercise program 2 weeks ago.  I asked her if she had consutled her doctor about the extreme excercise program. She said yes. sort of..."Mom, my last check-up says I'm healthy." She has lattice degeneration, which I had forgotten.  Two evenings ago she had an incident with her vision--she saw a prism of colors and experienced blurring then it subsided. (She shared this with her sister and not with me, so that I won't freak out!!!)  But I am freaking out.  Is it safe for her to do strenous exercise with this condition? She is due at the gym at 7:00 p.m. tonight and again on Saaturday. Oh, she does have an appointment with a retina specialist on Tuesday.  Will that be too late?  Help!!

The prism color light spells are not due to lattice. You should use the search feature and search "eye migraine" "ophthalmic migraine" and "transient ischemic attack".  She needs a work up to exclude disease of the eye, heart, brain and blood vessels before attributing this to eye migraines.

If your daughter is otherwise young and healthy boot came should be okay. Must be a generational thing as my daughter is doing a boot camp experience also.

However I would suggest she discuss with her personal physician and ophthalmologist. Likely they will be more concerned about the new prism vision than boot camp.
