I went to the opthalmologist today and was told at the end of the exam that I have what the doctor thinks is CHRPE. However, he mentioned that there is some slight "elevation" in the pigmented area, and scheduled me in 2 weeks for an ultrasound. I have been told by optometrists before that I have pigment in my right eye, and this opthalmologist seem to think that the pigment looks old, so he believes its congenital. However the elevation in the area seemed to throw him off, and I am very anxious to find out if its something else. Please, any idea if the elevation should be of concern?
