Is it possible to see again?

Im a very healthy person that was diagnosed as having sarcodosis. A biopsy of swollen lymphs in my groin and scar tissue on my lungs gave proof of the disease. My biggest problem though, is that I suffer from uveitis and a cataract of the right eye as a result. I've been on prednisone for over a year and my eye pressure's been up and down but it hangs on at around 6 or 7. At least 3 doctors have told me that the removal of the cataract would be nearly impossible unless my body starts to reproduce enough fluid to raise my pressure. I've been told basically to forget about that eye and focus on the healthy one that I have. Its not easy especially because my bad eye doesn't look any different from the good eye except for slight haze of the cataract. Nobody even notices it but me. I've come to terms that I may never see out of this eye and according to one doctor I may lose it. Is there any hope? Is there any other issues that would cause my body to stop producing the fluid my eye needs? Finally are there any procedures known or in testing phase that could provide me a possibility to see again?

Yes there is hope but if three ophthalmologists have said don't operate and esentially "keep the eye in the bank in case you ever need it" then surgery is likely not a good option.

The section on sarcoid at emedicine is excellent. Read it. See an ophthalmologist at least every 6 months from now on.
