Is there any hope

I had trabeculectomy surgery on my left eye eight months ago.  The pressure stayed low for a while (under six) and slowly worked its way up to eight at the moment.  The vision is still blurry and because of the surgery, the retina has lost some of its shape causing astigmatism.  Now eight months after surgery I am developing cataracts!!!!!!!   What should I do???

You need to have your cataract removed.  You have had a great lowering of pressure.  The pressure will probably increase slightly after cataract surgery.  I doubt your astigmatism is from the retina.

The low pressure has also caused folds in my eye.  Hopefully, they will go away as the pressure increases.  Thanks for your quick response.

I had that same surgery in October and had hypotony at a pressure at 1. my eye sight is blurred and I recently went back into the eye to add three more stitches to close the drainage a little. My pressure is now at 5. My vision got a little better with stronger lense, but it's blurred in different sections in my eye.  Like a wave in and out...clear section then blurred. I'm not sure waiting almost four months to correct was the best judgement. I've been out of work and now will need to return with the lost of vision and try my best to adjust. Do you think in time it will get better? I'm 41 years old. My dad is blind from Glaucoma and myself,sister and daughter all were diagnosed with it. My sister and I in our mid 20's and my daughter at 14 years old.
