Is this normal in wearing new glasses?

3 days ago I went to the opthalmologist and checked my eye sight and I have farsight..my right eye was - 1.25 and the other is -1.75
now when I wear my new glasses my right eye sight feels weak and not as clear as the left eye and this also caused some focusing problems . yesterday I went back to the doctor and he told me that my right eye is kind of between -1.25 and -1.50 because I see clearer when he raised the glass by only 25 ...
but he wuldnt change it and he suggested it remains like that and that I will get used to it .
I'm afraid this will hurt my vision and I might develop something else..what should I do ? will my eyes get used to it or its dangerous to leave it like that ?

You are myopic or nearsighted. Myopic lens are "minus -" lens while hyperopic or farsighted lens are "plus +"   Your glasses prescription (Rx) is very easy to adjust to and most people cannot tell any difference between lens only .25 diopter different.  Nor does everyone see the same in both eyes. Paired organs are not exact clones of one another. People have a dominant hand that is stronger and more coordinated and often hear better out of one ear.  The other thing that can create a problem with comfort even when the glasses RX is correct is the fitting and fabrication of the glasses. The frames might not fit well and the glasses RX can be ground wrong or the optical center of the lens not mounted over the center of the pupil. Ask the optical company that made the glasses to double check these for you.  But to repeat adults cannot damage their vision even if they wore someone else's glasses. they would not see well and they may be uncomfortable or even cause a headache but will not damage the sight.  The other thing you can do is take your old glasses in to the optical and ask them what that Rx was and how big of a change there has been. Often it can take 7-10 days to adjust to a new RX.  If you're still unhappy ask for your money back or ask them to put your old RX in your old glasses in your new frames if you are happier with them.
