LASIK /PRK

I had Lasik earlier this year for both eyes. My right eye went perfect. My left eye was unsuccessful. The doctor said the laser did not create a good flap so I have to wait to heal and we can try again. After about 2 months I went back. He said we could do Lasik but there might be a chance that the laser might bounce off again and it will be a bad flap again and then I would have to wait 2 more months. He said the other option is to do PRK and that would be a definate success but I would have to endure more pain. I told him ok then lets do PRK. After 2 months my left eye (PRK) did not clear up. I did all the drops as was directed. I went back and the doctor said..well it takes a longer time to clear up....4-6 months...I was not told this during my decision making appointment several months back. After another 3 months...now about 5 months into it...the lasik doctor tells me that there is light scarring on the eye and that is why it has not cleared up. He directed me to take different drops and says that if after another 2 months it does not clear...then he might recommend to get scar removal treatment. What do I do??? Is he telling me the truth?? I am getting scared that they messed up but I can't be sure. What should I do, go through with the scar removal treatment?? or never go back to them?? My eye has not gotten any better in vision since the PRK. I would appreciate any advice. Thank You!!!

Dear STEEL777,

I would recommend that you speak with your eyeMD and ask him/her the questions you pose here.  He will be able to show you by the testing the issues and what can be done to assist your vision.
