Lasik overcorrection in one eye

Lasik overcorrection in one eye

I had lasik in 2000 and had perfect vision for 7 years. My vision went back to 20/40 and so the dr. "tweaked" my eyes back to 20/20 with another LASIk procedure.  Problem: he way overcorrected my right eye.  It has been 15 months and I cannot see anything up close with my right eye.  It is so hard to read now since both eyes are so different.  HELP.  What are my options?

I would not suggest another laser surgery.  A soft contact lens will probably not help.  You may need a rigid contact lens that has a "reverse geometry" configuration.  You should try to track down an eye care provider with extensive experience fitting patients after complicated laser vision correction.  This is more likely an OD optometrist than and MD ophthalmologist.  You might call Dr. Greg Gemoules who is in Coppell, TX as he has tremendous experience fitting these contacts and might know someone near you.  His business name is Coppell Family Eye Care.  Try a couple of different spellings of Coppell if it doesn't come up.
