Lasik

Hi, I went in recently for a lasik consultation and the doctor determined that I was not a good candidate because of my cornea and high prescription.  Do you think it would be wise to consult another doctor for a second opinion?
Also, I am having problems wearing my soft contact lenses recently because of my dry eyes.  Would my eyes tolerate gas permeable contact lenses since it allows more oxygen in?  Thanks a lot.

1. Lasik consults are generally free so sure get a couple of more opinions.
2. GP CTL generally transmit less oxygen that soft CTL.
