Lazy eyelid

Lazy eyelid

I woke up yesterday with one lazy eyelid.  It's been two days and it hasn't improved.  No red eyes, no itching, just half closed lid?  What could be the reason?

That problem is called ptosis and it could be serious. You should be seen as soon as possible by an Eye MD ophthalmologist. IF you have headache, couble vision or the pupil on the side with the saggy eyelid is larger than the other side YOU SHOULD GO IMMEDIATELY TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM AS IT COULD REPRESENT A CEREBRAL ANEURYSM.

Call tonight an Eye MDs answering service and try to be seen tomorrow morning. If the lid is swollen or infected or early stye it might be harmless but you can't take a chance.
