Hi there,

It's been a long while, but I've just registered to tell that I also Googled 'lava lamp eyes' just like alecrei and came here :-D I'm also seeing these lava blobs floating in my vision, but they are not like floaters I have for many years. The movement of the blobs are fluid and it could be shrinking of the gel-like fluid in your eye. I'm also occasionally experiencing eye flashes and I found some information about this at https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/14209-floaters--flashers (scroll all the way down).

Best wishes to you!

Hi There

I have a similar problem. I actually googled 'lava lamp eyes' to see if anyone else is experiencing what I have...your message was the only one I could find. I get it in both my eyes, and it feels like floating blobs of tension. Sometimes the feelings become more intense and hard, and it feels like I don't have control of my eyes...they look very tense and its very hard to concentrate on anything. Other times its not so intense and I can get on with things ok, but it is always there. It is having a very serious affect on my ability to interact confidently with people. When the tension is there, and its gets harder, I look very intense, and feel people react negatively to me. For me it started with anxiety problems I was having. Then I did a lot of vipassana meditation, where you concentrate on physical sensations in your body...thats when it really started.

I feel like the only way out is to try and not focus on it...but its very hard. I've had this for 4 years now.

If anyone can advise, I would very much appreciate it.

I hope you’ve found some relief since your post date. I’ve encountered this similar lava lamp feeling with varying waves of tension and blurred vision. It
started with a severe migraine and continued either due to complications from Lyme Disease or Fibromyalgia. I’ve had it for two years. I find some relief from acupuncture and an herbal supplement called Iplex produced by Standard Process. Seems to help with dry eye and the viscosity required. Best of luck.
