Left eye got bigger after fever

My wife get fever last week, it lasted 5 days. Yesterday I found that her left eye got bigger than the right one. Or, it could be the right eye got smaller.
My question are: is it caused by fever? Will it go away by itself? Or do we need to see the doctor immediately?
Thanks a lot!

It could be but you need to have an Eye MD ophthalmologist examine her. Ask your family MD to refer her

Thank you doctor Hagan. She doesn't have fever now.
Her left eye is much larger that her right eye in the morning, and they get better at night.

You should see her personal MD that is treating her and make an appointment with an Eye MD ophthalmologist. If she is extremely ill with fever or chills then go to an emergency room.
