Lenticular and cornal astigmatism

Hi,
I wish to know the differences between lenticular and corneal astigmatism.
Can a patient distinguish these two or a doctor must help?
Thanks for your answer.

A doctor must help.  Corneal astigmatism has to do with the shape of the cornea whereas lenticular astigmatism comes from the lens in the eye.  The only time it really makes a difference is when it comes to cataract surgery.  Lenticular astigmatism is resolved after cataract surgery, whereas corneal astigmatism will still need to be addressed.
