Long rays of light

At night I see long rays of light from most light sources. I can see the road, signs, etc all fine. Just annoying with the rays of light. I went to an eye doctor and he gave me glasses to help with my eye site for distances and said the anti-reflective coating would take care of it. Well come to find out it doesn't. Don't know if he really understood my problem. Any ideas?

See an Eye MD ophthalmologist, ideally a cornea specialist (find one near you at www.aao.org)

Posibilities include need for better glasses, corneal diseases, cataracts, maacular problem.
