Loss of vision after exercise

My 17 year old son has been complaining of a recurring temporary loss of peripheral vision after football practice this year.  Advice?

Hello Mom,   Any loss of peripheral vision is abnormal and needs to be full evaluated. You need to make an appointment with an eye physician (ophthalmologist or Eye MD). When you make the appointment tell them you will need a visual field examination also.  He will also need a general physical with your personal physician and may need to see a neurologist.

Although migraine (often eye migraine which has no headache) is the most common cause, problems with the heart, brain and blood vessels need to be excluded.

Please do this as soon as possible.
