Low vision care with albinism

Hi all,

I am a 23 year old male with albinism and i was wondering if anyone knew of any low vision centers or doctors that could help me. I have very poor vision and am working with computers all day which gives me a headache and eye-aches and strains all day.

I live in Maryland right now but any resources in the DC, Virginia and Maryland region are just fine.

Go to the American Academy of Ophthalmology  at  www.aao.org and use the Find An Eye Physician feature to find a low vision specialist in your geographic area.

My daughter goes to Dr Preslan in Glen Burnie area-he deals with pediatric albinism and low vision cases but may be able to refer you to a colleague.  In addition, Dr. Benner in Salisbury is wonderful with Adult retinal issues and disorders.  He may also be able to refer you to a suitable Dr.  Both of these Dr's have gotten our family thru some difficult times and would trust their opinion any day of the week.
