Lumps on eyelid

I had a lump on my upper eyelid which has been there for at least 2 month.  I now have 2 more small lumps.  It is not painful or irritating...but looks  bad and is causing me embarrasment.  What could it be and how can I remove it

The most common thing that causes that: chalazion   Use the search feature and archives to read about cause and treatment. Likely you will need to see an ophthalmologist

Could there be any possibily that this is related to high cholestrol - and this is the bodies way of showing you a sign??  
Have been diagnosed with  high cholestro; by a MD.
I am not taking any medication but have changed my diet to low fat/less carbs/but brown bread /rice or pasta - could do with more exercise but am getting there...!!
