MY eyes ...

I went to the ophthalmologist. and he said I had 2 or 3 holes in one of my eyes, that in any light or at any time I could go blind. He said it would cause me to have severe migraines and it could be quite painful at times. He could not get my sight in order enough to fit me for eye wear. It has been about 4 years, I still have my sight (thank GOD). But I have been having flashing and swirling then not being able to see. What is this? OR, is this the beginning of loosing my eye sight? I just had my first and only grand baby daughter and I love to look at her as she is growing. She loves me so much. She is only 5 months old now. This will be devastating more so for my family than I. I knew. If anyone can give me some insight (no punt intended) on this ... PLEASE OH PLEASE HELP ME !!!!

First you need to see another ophthalmologist Eye MD for a second opinion then your need a yearly eye exam to follow your condition. From your description I cannot provide any useful insights to the nature of your problem. For your migraines you should see a good internist or neurologist. With medications hopefully they can be prevented.

Go to an eye md immediately. This is your chance to try to protect your sight. You may need a specialist, but see an eye md first.

I have no grandchildren, but I thought today, if I ever lost my good ey, I could not watch babies grow. I love children, and I can only imagine how much you love your grandchild.

I JUST FOUND OUT HOW TO GET THESE REPLIES. SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG.

Anyway, The Neurologists put me on Prozac 80 mg per day. It helped almost prevent them.
I have bad astigmatism too. I can't read up close anymore without reading glasses. Maybe I am just falling apart. I have tried just laying in the floor to die ... but it doesn't work. This "ALL" (bipolar,depression,need surgery,deteriorated discs, bone spurs,renal failure, on and on ...  just sucks!! I am only 41 yrs and never been in so much freaking pain.

In a survey published this week on Life Satisifaction the bottom least happy time was where you are not from which it steadily improved as people get older. In fact the happiest time was old age (85>)
