Macular Hole

My 72 year old mother is 4 weeks post macular hole surgery.  She is 12 years into a Parkinson's/Multiple System Atrophy dx.  She has had  med induced visual hallucinations for years.  However, since the surgery they have become increasingly worse and fearful to her.  She is convinced they are real and is becoming afraid to go to sleep at night due to how "evil" they appear to her.  She is still on the antibotic (antibiotic) and steriod drops (BID).  The eye surgeon doesn't think the hallucinations are related to the surgery or drops.  I was wondering what your experience or thoughts are on this matter.

Thanks for your help.

Probably not related to surgery.  However, the decrease in sensory input may affect her.
