Macular puckering

Pm 4/18/10 I had a vitrectomy, peel for macular puckering.  The Dr said everything  was coming along fine, although my vision never cleared.  Last week the Dr said I now had a hole in the retina ? and must have surgery which means a minimum of 10 days face down.  Please help

In your place, I'd get a second opinion about the need for more retinal surgery before proceeding.  I checked the website for Texas Retina Associates, and some of their surgeons have excellent credentials.  Alternatively, you could consult a senior retinal specialist at a university medical center.  You might want to bring a list of your questions to your appointment.

It doesn't make much sense to me that you were told that everything was coming along fine after your 2010 surgery, yet your vision never improved.
