Have had three eye surgeries for a detached retina (same eye). After the second surgery I have had a half moon black spot in the center of my eye that doesn't permit light to come through. The other items in my vision caused by the surgery and liquid in the eye allow light to filter through. I don't know what the black spot is and wonder if it will ever go away.

Only the surgeon that examines your eye can tell. Its a good question. Ask your retina surgeon.
