Muddy spot at the center of viewing

In the past few days there has been a muddy spot in my vision, I had someone look at my eye and they see nothing no spot.  What I see is a light brown muddy spot that's out of focus in the center of vision like looking throw a window that needs to be cleaned, but strange it seams to move if I blink but always returns to the center.  if I close the other eye its hard to see around the spot.

This cropped up over night and has stuck around for a week now.  Any ideas.

You need to see an Eye MD promptly.  It could be one very large floater.  However floaters don't usually stay in exactly the same location for an entire week.  Therefore you could have a different and more serious problem.  Find an Eye MD near you at www.aao.org.

if it moves when you blink it might be a type of floater. did they dilate your eyes when they inspected it?
