My 9 month old son

My 9 month old son was diagnosed with extensive Miopia in the left eye. His eyes are not aligned sometimes and the left eye wonders outside and up. He was also diagnosed with streched blood vessels in his left eye retina. He was delivered in full term and there was no complication after his birth. He has no other illness and are not using any drugs. My question is what is his desease, I know there must be something that his doctor is not telling me?
Please help me I am very worried, I search the internet and all I find is bad things

"extensive myopia" medical name is usually "high myopia" or if there is myopic degeneration "pathologic myopia or degenerative myopic maculopathy"

Eyes in an child that eyes are not aligned "strabismus"

Stretched blood vessels is not specific but could be myopic macular degeneration.

Make a list of your questions and ask your ophthalmologist for clarification
