My doctor said I have thick optic nerve in both eyes and it might be glaucoma. Please help I'm so scared :(.?

I am only 21 years old and I am so depressed and cannot eat anything. I started seeing a black dot in my left eye, which started on Friday two days ago. I went to my optical doctor last week, which dilated my eye and said everything is fine just have floaters in the eye. Today I went to ophthalmologist just to get another opinion and they did Fundus photo, corneal pachymetry test, and GDX test. I was told the same about the floater but be aware of flashes. The doctor also told me that I might have glaucoma in both eyes because of thick optic nerve. The doctor didn't prescribe me with any medications just told me to come next month. I am so scared will I get blind. I been told their is no cure for it. Is this because I play too much video games and stay on the computer? Please help me I cannot sleep just crying all day.

Please relax.  If your eye pressure was normal, the chances of you having glaucoma at your age is very small.  More likely you were born with "different" looking optic nerves.  Even if you were one of those rare people with glaucoma at your age, there are treatments.  You need to go see a glaucoma specialist to confirm this.  Find one at www.aao.org.  Don't worry at all unless the glaucoma specialist tells you you have glaucoma (and even then you will likely only need eye drops!)

Hi Doctor, Thank you very much I feel better now by reading your response. I went back to my regular eye doctor, which he showed me all my previous records since 2010. He told me my eye sight is perfect in both eyes .20 rear vision. The vision has not been changed since my first visit. The eye doctor also looked up my eye pressure, which came up normal and he also showed me a picture of how optic nerve looks like and told me explanation on it. He told me everything is normal. I felt so stressed, which gave me migraine headaches since the visit to ophthalmologist. My mom had the same situation that they told her she has glaucoma but found out she doesn't. So should I stick with my regular eye doctor or should I still go to ophthalmologist appointment.
