My iris is misshaped

I've always had this since birth, but my right iris is not perfectly round. It's almost like there is a small chunk missing. Whenever I've been to the opticians, they have taken rather a long time examining it and obviously find it interesting but I have no idea what it is??? It on the opposite side to my tear duct and doesn't have anything around it. My iris has a very clear line, there's just a bit missing?!?

Any information would be greatly welcomed!

Thanks,

That doesn't look like it. My pupil is perfectly round, it's the outside circle of my iris that is misshapen.

Look up pictures of Iris Coloboma online and see if that is what you may have.
