My right eye is smaller than the other

I know one eye is always bigger than the other, but my right eye is noticeably smaller than my left one. I've noticed this problem for a few months nows, and I'm pretty sure they weren't like this before. I also wear contacts and I think it might be related to them. One day something was bothering me in my eye so I was rubbing it a lot. I have bad eyesight so I depend on my glasses and contacts to see, I was at work when this happened and I couldn't take off my contacts because I didn't have my glasses. At the end of the day my eye was red, and over the days I wasn't able to wear my contacts because my eye would turn red, start to tear, and the contact would just bother me too much i could not stop blinking and sometimes it would fall out within minutes of putting them on. Once my eye clears up I've also noticed that the outer upper edge of the iris, where i had initially felt something bothering me, is always red. This would cause me to not be able to wear my contacts because the edge of the contact would irritate it. Now I can wear my contacts and I don't feel anything until i take them off because i have to pull it down causing it to rub against it.  Also the edge of the iris is always red and it doesn't go away, and my eye is smaller.I have also noticed that on my right eye I can see better up-close without my glasses or contacts than when I don't have them on, and its been 6 months since I've gotten them prescribed.

Is it possible that from me rubbing it too much in the beginning could have cause me to tear, or close to tear, the sclera or cornea also causing my eye to become droopy?

An irritated eye will cause the lid to drop making the eye looks smaller.
