My sons new prescription

by ConfusedMom04, Jul 10, 2009 08:14PM
My son is 6 years old and he is nearsighted and has astigmatism mostly on the right eye.  I took him for his anual eye exam on July 3, 2009 and his prescription changed a little it went a little higher .  We went to pick up the glasses and when he tried them on he immedietly said that he saw blurry with the glasses. I told them right away and I was told that since it was a new higher prescription he should wear them and in a day or two his eyes would adjust to the new prescription.  I don't know what to do he is complaining that his head hurts and he sees blurry from far away and from up close and even when he sees up or down. We have never had this problem his prescription has changed twice before and he had never complained about seeing blurry. What should I do? He doesn't want to wear the new glasses and is wearing the old prescription glasses because those do not make his head and eyes hurt. Please let me know what you think is best and what I should do? Thank you

Please call his eye doctor and ask for him to be rechecked.  Explain the problems he is having.
