Narrow Angles in Family

My uncle and brother have both been diagnosed with narrow angles, and my cousin, an opthamologist, has performed laser surgery to correct the problem.  Interestingly, I have been experiencing some of the same symptoms as my brother did, with primarily pain in the center of the eye.  I haven't been checked yet for this, but one of the more recent problems is that my glasses don't seem to be as effective (some blurring - I have severe astigmatism), and I have also noticed almost a dimness of light.  Is this just my imagination, or could there be some correlation?

If narrow angles run in your family you should see an ophthalmologist even without symptoms. Once symptoms of narrow angle glaucoma (usually recurrent pain and maybe foggy vision) occur, there could already be damage. Much better to be treated before there are any symptoms. Just check it out.
