Near vision lens in both eyes?

Near vision lens in both eyes?

I had surgery on my left eye last week and have an ADAPT - AO IOL (power +22.0D). I've worn glasses since I was a teenager (now 43) for distance though just for TV and driving, otherwise I made out fine without glasses. I opted for near vision monofocals because my of my work (illustration, graphic design, painter, etc.). I spend a great deal of time illustrating or on the computer so near vision and good contrast is very important to me. After the cataract surgery, my near vision is now fantastic but intermediate vision is so blurry (distance too of course). Everything beyond 3-4 feet is quite blurry and I'm wondering if there is a good option for my right eye that will help with the intermediate vision. I'm not sure that two near vision implants are the right answer for me. I don't mind wearing glasses for distance but it sure would be nice to see clearly to at least 5 feet. Is something like this an option?

Right now, I'm switching from glasses to no glasses everytime I move away from my art or the computer and today at the grocery store, I had a difficult time seeing what was on the shelf so needed glasses but they interfered with me being able to read the labels so I was taking them on and off constantly. I realize I could get progressive glasses (is that correct?) but I'm wondering if there is another option. I'm not worried about seeing far distances, just a few feet away would be good.

Use the search feature and archives to read about mini-monofocal with near bias.  Choosing a target post op refraction of -1.00 should give you pretty good intermediate vision.
