Need Expert Help on red patch and broken skin on eyelid margin (PICTURE)

Hi,

Basically i have noticed a red patch inside my upper eyelid and what seems to be broken looking skin that is usually white over the meimobiam gland orifices ..i hope im making sense

It isnt sore or painful and im wondering if it caused by the eyelid abrasing against my dry eye as i havent used drops frequently lately due to side effects.

Is this serious and will it heal back to normal as im a bit worried, i tried green tea bags tonite to possibly help with inflammation. Also could this have been caused by using johnsons baby shampoo or ocusoft lathered up on the upper eyelid lashes as some was leaking into my eye?

Thankyou for your kind help christopher...

I cant really use heat compresses much as it inflames my lids even more as they have become very sensitive?

Also does the redness in a specific area of the inner eyelid indicate blocked meimobiam glands in that specific area of the eyelid, As i havent been able to perform hot compresses for 6 months due to sensitive eyelids can long term gland blockage cause the glands to atrophy or become damaged permanently?

Another thing could baby shampoo irritate the red area of my eyelid and cause further irritation or does it act as a soothing anti bacterial agent to reduce inflammation and reduce bacterial load?

Thanks again :)

Mario

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
If it isn't sore or painful, it is less likely to be a stye, which may involve the need for topical antibiotic drops.  Based in the fact you are using baby shampoo/lid scrubs, it seems implied you have been diagnosed/treated for meibomian gland dysfunction so it could be a focal area where it is particularly inflamed and the white dots represent specific orifices where the oil is stopped up.  Additional treatments would be the addition of an antibiotic ointment or eyedrop but there shouldn't be any harm in continuing hot compresses and lid hygiene.  An evaluation by a cornea/anterior segment specialist may be helpful since they can monitor for improvement and usually have multiple options to help resolve your condition.
