Nevus + Flashes + Spot

I am 27, and I have a "large" choroidal nevus in the lower left (if viewed by examination) interior of my left eye. I have been seeing flashes of light in said eye for 8 years, in the top left of my visual field (corresponding with freckle?). This has been explained to me as being a result of a high astigmatism and high myopia (-8.5 prescription).

Recently, I began to see a stationary dark blotch in the same upper left region of my visual field. It doesn't appear to be a loss of vision, and I can see through it. It seems to change shape and size. I can often only see it when looking at something bright like a computer monitor and blinking. I have seen a optometrist and a retinal specialist, both have said no retinal detachment, and freckle seems to be benign. Have had visual field test and am awaiting results.

However, I am concerned, not knowing what this might be.

Could it simply be a bit of stationary vitreous? Should I push for ultrasound or more?

If it really concerns you get a second opinion from a different retina specialist.

If the spot was coming from the nevus it would be on the upper right (if viewed by examination).
