New eye surgery

I saw a recent tv article on corrective eye surgery involving the implanting of a small disc into one eye as a treatment for conditions such as Presbyopia.  Would appreciate the name of the proceedure and where it is available if possible.  Thank you.

What you are describing sounds like an accomodative intraocular lens implant, which is a form of cataract surgery.  The other possibility is a form of LASIK surgery with laser, although that does not involve a disc placed in or onto the eye.  I would seek out an eye MD who is a cornea specialist for all your options to correct presbyopia aside from glasses or contacts.
