New glasses

I bought new glasses with a stronger prescription and change in astigmatism.  I started getting severe headaches over my left eye.  The optometrist weakened the script in my left eye and went back to my old astigmatism.  The new glasses do not cause me headaches but I see a good deal better out of my right eye than my left when I close one eye and test it.  My general eyesight with the glasses is ok.  Is this a problem that needs continued evaluation or is it ok as long as it is alright when seeing with both eyes?

Your right eye glass power is correct while your left eye glass power is slightly different from what is needed for sharper vision, but its OK to go with less powered glass with left eye as sharper vision your seeing is coming from right eye (in your case the dominant one) even if both eyes are open while your seeing. So this variation will not affect your vision significantly also your eye power will not increase by using slightly less powered glasses.

No its OK to continue with old less powered glasses as long as you are comfortable with it.

Thanks--while i can see ok with both eyes open, does it matter that the left eye is a bit blurry while the right eye script has increased and is clearer?
