New prescription glasses with astigmatism: light sensitivity (whites)

I went to the eye doctor (OD). My prescription changed and I have higher astigmatism in my left eye (-0,25 to -0,75 axis 40) and both eye are -2,25( right was -2 and left was -1,25). They gave me -2,25 contact lenses while I was waiting for my glasses with antireflective coating (both sides).I started taking adderall xr 10mg from my doctor which is a diuretic based with amphetamine. I know it can dilate the pupils. It also causes dry mucous and stuff and as the eye doctor told me, I already don't have much tears. So, I wore those contact lenses for about a week and it was not a good comfort because my left eye wasn't corrected with astigmatism whatsoever so my right eye was forcing a lot.
They had trouble with the glasses, so they received the contacts first (with left corrected astigmatism) so I put them in and I don' t know if it's the meds + new prescription, but overall I see well, but I started having light sensitivity to fluorescent lights and screens being tv or computer screen. Even if I put the brightness up to 0 on my computer screen at work/home (both are antiglare matte lcd screen), i feel like when it's on white background (more than dark), the light is like strong and I feel like there is mini shadows-strikes-lightnings (not quite sure how to call it). I often have to select the text so the background becomes blue to be able to read with ease. Now, I am wearing my glasses and same thing, went back to the OD to be sure it was the good prescription, and yes it is. So, she told me to put some systane balance in the morning and then use systane ultra hydration during the day. I have been doing this for 4-5 days and nothing happens. I feel my eyes are a little itchy and dry but they are not red . The computer screen symptoms are still the same. It's been 3 days since I stopped taking adderall xr too. Could my new prescription do this since my eyes are not used to receive that much light? thank you

Hello Doctor,

Thank you for your answer. My last prescription was:
left eye: -1,25 with -0.25 astimagtism
right eye: -2

New prescription is:
left eye: -2 with -0.75 astimagtism
right eye: -2,25

I am not sure why do you think it's normal for me to feel all this. If you say it's a small change, why would I be that much affected. I need to find what is going on here. Could it be that my new glass are in a different material (plastic vs polycarbonate....which one do you recommend for better optics and view?)

Thank you very much.

was your previous prescription bad? It's not a huge change, but could be enough of a change and you could be "over minused." This could lead to headaches, etc.
Best wishes,

I have to add that when watching a white background after blinking my eyes, i kinda see a blackish line that moves and then fades ...it's pretty weird...
