Night driving problems

I had cataract surgery on my left eye last year. I have vertical lines going through all the lights I see. When I meet other traffic at night, it basically blinds me with all the lines. I usually close my eye and continue driving with the right eye only. From reading some of the other posts it sounds like I need to go back to the Dr. that did the surgery.  I hadn't been doing enough night driving to realize how bad it was till lately. Go back to the eye Doc?

I have had the same thing for the past year but it is diagonal not vertical...a long streak of light going through every car headlight and streetlight...have recently found out I have a crease on my lens (most likely from when it was folded) which is causing this horrible effect!!!!
