Nodular or necrotizing scleritis
I was diagnosed with nodular scleritis and have a small grey spot on my anterior sclera. I've been told that any thinning of the sclera indicates necrotizing scleritis, it that true or does nodular also result in remnant grey spots?

There are other causes of gray spots on the sclera such as pigment around blood vessels or nerves, dellen, scleral plaques. Discuss with your eye MD ophthalmologist.
