Non-prolific Diabetic retinopathy

Is there a cure for retinopathy?     I have type 2 diabetes and was diagnosed with  retinopathy  with follow up test, the doctor said it was not getting any worst. I watch my diet and excercise.   On some test it don,t show up. Does this mean I do not have, and I rid of it.

Dear bigrigger_1,

Diabetes can cause some changes in the eye as it affects the small blood vessels.  Sometimes, there may be leakage and sometimes, not.  It is important that you control your diabetes as much as possible.  The longer you have diabetes, the more common are the eye issues.
