Nystagmus and Amsler Grids

Howdy,

I'm 25 and was born with Nystagmus and Con. Glaucoma.  I was looking at an amsler grid but feel my nystagmus kind of distorts the view, making it hard to distinguish if there are any abnormalities.  Is there any ofther way for Eye MD's to check for macular problems that don't rely on patient response?  Thanks

An OCT.  However, I do not know if it works on a patient with nystagmus.  The Spectralis has a tracker but I do not know how fast it is.

Thank you Dr. O.  Could you tell me if myopia of lets say -4.5 could make colors seems a tiny bit lighter, my glasses usually fix this problem, I'm just not sure if this is indicative of macular problems.  Thanks again!
