Occasional dilated, unreactive pupil

Occasional dilated, unreactive pupil

Hello, I'm a 29yo female. Since Feb 2010 my right pupil has started to dilated randomly once every 1-2 weeks. When dilated, it does not react to light, it does not affect my visual acuity and I have no pain from it. My pupil goes back to 'normal' by the time I wake up the next day. On one occasion both pupils were dilated and unreactive to light. The only medication I take is an asthma inhaler.

One doctor suggested this may be Holmes-Adie pupil, though this was only a telephone consult. Should I be concerned about this dilating pupil of mine?

Thank you.

It is probably an Adie pupil.  However, you need to have an eye exam by an ophthalmologist (EyeMD).
