Occasional eyelid.

Occasional eyelid.

I am a 16 year old male and starting about a year and a half ago i began to get an occasional drooping eyelid over my left eye.  It started occurring about once a month; and I would get it for about half of the day.. At first I thought it was allergies so I took some medication; but I dont think it directly helped.. Recently, I have been starting to get it about once every 2-3 weeks.. still lasting only about half of the day.  My eyes themselves are in perfect condition (despite needing contact correction) but as far as motor function they are just fine... I am not experienceing any other changes or abnormalities with my body or head..it just seems to be the eyelid...
When its not drooping everything seems normal, and when it is drooping i can correct it by consciously adding a bit more power to the levator muscles around it.
Im not sure if this problem is serious or simply an off-hand problem.
Thanks

Intermittent ptosis is NOT normal and needs to be evalusted. Make an appointment with an Eye MD ideally a neuro-ophthalmologist. If it happens again take a picture of it to take in for your exam. Also DO NOT LET THE TECHS PUT DROPS in your eye till the Eye MD see you.
