Occasionally I get a random small bump on my lower eye lid, what is this?

Occasionally I develop a lump on either of my lower eyelids about the size and shape of a BB, the lump forms just above the lower rim of the eye socket (Not among the eye lashes, about a half inch down), the lump forms under the skin (it's not a hive), it itches and burns when exposed to heat such as when I' am taking a shower, it's not hard but it does have some firmness compared to the surrounding skin. These lumps come on fairly suddenly and last for two-three days and simply go away. What are these? are they related to allergies?

We cannot tell you what it is. It is not likely allergy. The most common cause would be blocked oil glands.
