Ocular Rosecea

I have been diagnosed with Ocular Rosecea.  I tried many different eye drop medications in the past and have not received any relief.  My chief problem is blurred vision in my right eye, it use to come and go but for the last year it has been constant, some days seem to be better than others.  At a recent visit to my doctors office she informed me that the blurred vision was caused by protein deposits on my eye.  Is there anyway to get rid of the protein deposits or to minimize the severity of blurriness that I have in the vision in my right eye?  Please let me know if there is anything that I can do.  Thanks in advance for your help

I have tried Doxycycline and it does not help (tried Minocycline, Tetracycline too, no luck).  I have used lid scrubs and they only get rid of the flaking that I get around the eyelash line (I have Blepharitis too).  I do take fish oil tablets on a daily basis, don't seem to make much difference tho.  I will ask my doctor what she means about the protein deposits because I just want to get rid of this cloudy blurry vision I have in my right eye, it is really annoying and difficult to live with.  I have more eye-sensitivity in that eye too, to bright light and oncoming headlights, etc.  I use Natural Tears eye drops all the time too but they don't help at all, sometimes they actually aggravate the eye even more.  I have been dealing with this ocular rosecea for about 8 years now and have tried all different kinds of steriod drops prescribed by my doctor and optomotrist.  I just wish someone could give me a cure for this blurry vision issue.  If you have any other suggestions please let me know, I am open for any suggestions to try.  I am desparate to have this issue resolved, I just hope that I don't have to live like this the rest of my life.  Thanks...

I'm unclear what she means by protein deposits on the eye?  Have her clarify what she means.  Perhaps you have a very abnormal tear film that is leading to blurred vision.  Does doxycyline help?  The new lid scrubs by sterilid can be helpful as well.  Also oral flax and fish oil can help to decrease oil gland inflammation and help to produce healthier tears.
