One of my eyes have blurry vision and flashy lights

by Reese510, Nov 03, 2009 01:46PM
Hi I'm 24 years old, I'm near sighted, I have been diagnosed with a hole in the back of one of my eyes like 3 years ago but the hole never affected my vision. I'm having issues with one of my eyes. One of my eyes suddenly got blurry and I see a flash of light in one eye that can last for hours. It's almost like a camera flash in one eye. I was wondering what the problem can be? This never happened to me before. Anyone with any info please post it. Thank you.

You may be having a retinal detachment.  Seek attention from an Eye MD immediately!

I'm going to set up a appointment with my Ophthalmologist, I have another question.. Is there any reason in particular that this would happen to me? What's the cause for a retinal detachment?
