Optic nerve

Optic nerve

So I went to the doctor a couple months ago for an eye exam, and I was told that I have optic nerve elevation.  She sent me for an MRI and blood work and everything came back ok.  I noticed my vision getting worse and I was having eye pressure, and weird tingling and sharp pains all around my head.  I went to a neurologists and had more blood work done, and a lumbar puncture and everything was fine.  I just went back to the eye doctor and she was just still confused because all testing came back ok.  she did an ultrasound and said that my optic nerves were still elevated and that it was just congenital.

I am so confused.  I only have had the symptoms for a little over a year.  I feel my vision is getting blurrier, and still have eye pain and headaches, but was told that the optic nerve elevation is not causing my headaches.  Should i just blow it all off, and just accept that its congenital.  Or get a second opinion?

Also,  I have heard a lot of people refer this to optic neuritis, but was also told it's not the same as optic nerve elevation.  What is the difference if any.  I work for a group of doctors that have been helping me alot, and one want's me to see another doctor and is trying to get me an appointment.  I don't know if anything else could be done.....

You should see a neuroophthalmologist. This is exactly what their extra training is for. Find one near you at www.aao.org

Is this something to be concerned about, or am I overreacting.  I forgot to mention that the doctor said it was probably caused by drusen.  But never mentioned that before when she dilated my eyes.  I just feel that they don't know what the problem is, so they just say, it's caused my drusen which is congenital.

Thanks for your help!!!
