Over a year now??? This is rediculous !!!

My brother-in-law has had styes (multiple) in both eyes. This has been going on for at least a year. No antibiotics have helped, even with eye drops ( by prescription ). They are very painful. He is afraid he will loose his sight. Can anyone help or advise me for him?

styes can be like acne of the eyelids. It is not at all likely to affect his vision.  He should see a Eye MD ophthalmologist that specializes in cornea and external disease. He should use a lid cleaner daily like TheraTears SteriLid to clean lids. May need chronic use of antibiotic ointment at bedtime like Bacitracin and Erythromycin.

He may also need to be put on chronic (3-6 months) oral tetracyclines like minocyline.
