PVD and unequal pupil dilation

I am 32 and recently experienced floaters accompanied each time by pupil dilation in the right eye only. I saw my optometrist, who dilated my eyes and examined with a slit lamp etc., and told me I have fully detached already in one eye but not the other. He had no explanation for the pupil dilation whatsoever, except to suggest that maybe it was viral related...Adie's tonic maybe.

I am still experiencing the pupil dilation in the right eye with each floater episode, and it lasts only a few seconds. Also, I can feel this happening before I ever see the floater; it feels like a very slight change in pressure in my head, similar to what you would experience if you stood up too quickly, or had been standing on your head. There is no dizziness and no black spots.

I should add that I have better than 20/20 vision naturally, no myopia, no issues with near- or farsightedness whatsoever. I can't find information regarding possible causes of the pupil dilation. Any suggestions?

Floaters don't cause pupil dilation neither does PVD. Adie's tonic pupil is relatively constant and the pupil both dilates and constricts slowly.  you may be having a migraine equivalent.
