Pain and Vision Problems in Left Eye After a Seizure

A couple years ago I noticed an issue with my left eye, shortly after I had 2 seizures during the same time period. I do not have a history of seizures other than the two. When I went to the neurologist, I told him about eye pains I began having and he told me to go to an eye doctor. But before the seizures, I NEVER had a problem with my eyes or my vision. So here is my issue.

It is difficult for me to see out of my left eye. Whenever I read something, my eyes feel strained and I get this pain in my left eye. If I cover my right eye, words are harder to read because they look almost like they are further away. I then have to squint and look closer for my eye to comfortably adjust. If I read from a normal distance, my left eye  gets straind. Now If I cover my left eye, it is much easier to see the same text and I do not have to move in closer to read it. I can also read at a faster pace when I cover my left eye.

I would like to figure out what this could be. I truly believe it had to do with the seizures. Can seizures cause optic damage? With the symptoms I mentioned, what could be the problem? I would appreciate any information at this point because I cannot afford going to any doctor and will not be able to for another year.

thank you,
Dan

Unfortunately, I can not be of help.  You really need to see an ophthalmologist.
