I have a pain (and a little swelling maybe 1/8" long) near my tear duct (it may be the tear duct, I don't know). It doesn't really bother me until I touch it. Any way to try to get the swelling down or the duct clear if that's what it is? Thanks!
This could be an early sign of a tear sac infection which can become serious. You should use warm compresses on the area, contact an ophthalmologist very early tomorrow and try and get in for a saturday work in urgent exam. You need an evaluation and probably antibiotic eye drops.
If the area becomes extremely painful, swollen and the skin gets red and tense go the ER nearest you.
